It's a myth
Well, not really. There actually is a very low level of human evidence that using steroids can actually help you lose fat and build muscle, natural steroid stack.

The truth is that most of the studies showing that testosterone injections enhance strength, power, and size generally used relatively short term methods where the person was allowed to train with weights for just a few days (10-12 weeks) before a testosterone injection.
Most of these studies have used male humans, so they were specifically looking at muscle mass improvements (and not fat losses) so you can understand why the results are often low. But more importantly – you can probably say the same thing about your weight training.
This is what happens.
When you train with weights, all that testosterone can do to the muscles you train the most (fast twitch muscles) is to slow down the motor units and increase the amount of work put out over an extended period of time, natural steroid like supplements. In other words, your heart rate and oxygen consumption go down, and your muscle mass increases. So basically the stronger you are, the harder it is to lose body fat while training.

We have no evidence that using steroids actually will increase your muscular size or strength in any measurable way or actually will give you an advantage over others in your gym class. In fact, studies show that we actually perform better with steroids than without them, so it's safe to assume that we wouldn't actually benefit from using them.
